A series of wall hangings which explore the wild, expanse of the Cornish North Coast. The ocean energy, vast skies and majestic cliff structure. Detailing the landscape at the fringe, where land ends and a sense of place is embodied. This study is formed from the area of Daymar Bay, Cornwall.

  • Size – 320 x 200 cm

  • Materials – Repurposed end of roll Irish linen, cotton and linen offcuts, wool rope 

  • Process – Cut shapes stitched together with bojagi seams from strong Irish linen canvas. Hand-stitched applique forms, plaited wool rope drawn and hand stitched

  • Hanging - A hanging sleeve has been attached at the top and bottom to hold structure ready to hang over a dowel.
